The "Bible" part signifies that this is a website dedicated to the Bible. The "Hyperlinks" part was inspired by an image that depicted all the hyperlinks in the Bible (displayed below), sparking my fascination to create a personal tool, which I've made public through this website, to help assist in locating each hyperlink while studying the Bible.
The abbreviation for "BibleHyperlinks" is BH. I was initially drawn to the concept of the B and H being joined together. However, aesthetically, the two letters looked better connected as HB. Therefore, to preserve the "HB" appearance while maintaining the original order "BH", I opted to rotate the letters onto their side. Interestingly, I discovered that "HB", when rotated in this manner, resembles a table bearing the Ten Commandments -- Which, I then decided to maintain the sideways "HB" motif and positioned the company's name, "BibleHyperlinks", to the right of the logo.
The Bible mentions a vast array of colors from which to choose. Initially, I was inclined towards Scarlett and Blue for the color theme. However, I struggled to find a visually appealing combination of Scarlett and Blue. Among the remaining available options, Purple and Gold emerged as the most complementary colors. Interestingly, purple clothing and gold are also mentioned in the Bible as offerings for the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:3-4), a place which the Ten Commandments (the "B" in the logo) was kept. It may be a stretch, but ultimately, this website is also my offering to God.
When it comes to this website, I plan to start with a solid foundation so that the website can run independently, serving as many people as possible before expanding it further. When it comes to international outreach, English is the best language to use. Due to this, the ESV (English Standard Version) is the base version of the search engine.
The number one way I have found hyperlinks is through verses containing the same or similar words or phrases. The base version of the search engine will possess the ability to search all Bible texts that share the same word(s) or phrase(s), whether independently or collectively searched for. Further instructions are presented below the search engine before it's use.
Identified by this icon beside each search result, all are welcome to contribute their analysis on each verse they look upon, helping others with their study.
Within each analysis link, there will be an attached devotion found through this icon that I have personally conducted on the text if available. To access all devotions together, there is also a devotions tab found on the home page.
On top of providing your own analysis on a text, you as a community also have the opportunity to provide a message/ your own a devotion --an "Epistle of Encouragement"-- found through the icon, which will be sent to another random user keeping anonymity. All community interactions are monitored. In the event of abuse or bypassing of monitoring, please report it by clicking the icon or by clicking here.
... so, of course, I must include a light mode, but what should the toggle/symbol look like? Well...
