The "Bible" part signifies that this is a website dedicated to the Bible. The "Hyperlinks" part was inspired by an image that depicted all the hyperlinks in the Bible (displayed below), sparking my fascination to create a personal tool, which I've made public through this website, to help assist in locating each hyperlink while studying the Bible.
The abbreviation for "BibleHyperlinks" is BH. I was initially drawn to the concept of the B and H being joined together. However, aesthetically, the two letters looked better connected as HB. Therefore, to preserve the "HB" appearance while maintaining the original order "BH", I opted to rotate the letters onto their side. Interestingly, I discovered that "HB", when rotated in this manner, resembles a table bearing the Ten Commandments -- Which, I then decided to maintain the sideways "HB" motif and positioned the company's name, "BibleHyperlinks", to the right of the logo.
The Bible mentions a vast array of colors from which to choose. Initially, I was inclined towards Scarlett and Blue for the color theme. However, I struggled to find a visually appealing combination of Scarlett and Blue. Among the remaining available options, Purple and Gold emerged as the most complementary colors. Interestingly, purple clothing and gold are also mentioned in the Bible as offerings for the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:3-4), a place which the Ten Commandments (the "B" in the logo) was kept. It may be a stretch, but ultimately, this website is also my offering to God.
When it came to this website, I planned to start with a solid foundation so that the website could run independently, serving as many people as possible before expanding it further. At that time, English was considered the best language to use for international outreach. Due to this, the ESV (English Standard Version) was the base version of the search engine.
Now, the website has evolved significantly. It currently offers over 150 Bible versions in more than 70 languages, ensuring accessibility to a global audience. While the ESV still serves as the core version, identified by this icon (top right corner of homepage), users can easily search and explore various translations in multiple languages, allowing people from all around the world to engage with the Word of God in their own language. The goal remains the same—providing a reliable and comprehensive resource for Bible study, with continuous updates and improvements to reach even more individuals.
Each analysis link includes a icon, which redirects you to the /discern
page—where all translations of the selected verse are displayed side by side for comparison. Conversely, on the /discern
page, you can click the icon to return to the analysis page.
The search engine has evolved significantly across versions 5, 6, and the beta release of 6.1—offering a glimpse into the highly anticipated version 7. Alongside the Old Testament verse searches on the analysis page, will be displayed the Hebrew Bible Stuttgartensia (HBS), widely regarded as one of the most accurate and scholarly editions of the Hebrew Scriptures. For the New Testament, we present text from the NA27 (Nestle-Aland 27th Edition), offering a close approximation to the original Greek manuscripts. While the NA28 is a more refined version of the New Testament text, we currently do not possess it.
In addition, the analysis page contains an Auto-Analysis feature. Using the text the user searched for, any phrase consisting of three or more consecutive words appearing elsewhere in Scripture is recognized, allowing users to trace patterns, thematic connections, and scriptural cross-references with ease.
Our platform fosters meaningful community interactions centered on biblical engagement. Users can contribute to the collective understanding of Scripture by clicking on any search result and providing an analysis of the selected verse.
Additionally, our unique "Epistle of Encouragement" feature allows you to anonymously send a message of encouragement or devotion to another user. This can be accessed through the icon, fostering a spirit of support and shared faith.
All community interactions are monitored to maintain a respectful and uplifting environment. If you encounter any form of abuse or an attempt to bypass moderation, please report it immediately using the icon or by clicking here.
Within each analysis link, there will be an attached devotion found through this icon that I have personally conducted on the text if available. To access all devotions together, there is also a devotions icon present on the homepage following the clicking of the cross-icon to open the menu.
... so, of course, I must include a light mode, but what should the toggle/symbol look like? Well...
